KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that achieving economic prosperity in the country requires policy reforms and an overall change in the state’s mindset.
During a meeting on Monday at his private residence in Khumaltar with newly elected office bearers of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), he highlighted the significant role of the private sector in the nation’s economic development.
Prachanda emphasized the need for creating a supportive environment and policy improvements to facilitate the private sector’s work.
He said, “Without policies and structures that ease operations for the private sector, achieving prosperity is impossible. The state must develop an attitude of facilitation rather than causing difficulties.”
CNI officials also recalled the important role played by the private sector in economic growth and appreciated the strong cooperation and positive environment during Prachanda’s tenure as Prime Minister.
