KATHMANDU: Gold prices in Nepal surged sharply on Wednesday, rising by Rs 2,100 in a single day, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

The price of hallmark gold has now reached Rs 197,600 per tola.

Silver also saw an uptick, increasing by Rs 20 to reach Rs 2,350 per tola.
