KAILALI: The Internal Revenue Office, Dhangadhi, has collected Rs 2.87 billion 7.788 million in revenue in the fiscal year 2081/82. This amount is 7.44 percent more than in the fiscal year 2080/81.

The office had set a target of collecting Rs 3.53 billion 58.58 million in revenue last fiscal year, but 81.39 percent of the target was collected, said Chhatra Bahadur Majhi, Information Officer at the Revenue Office.

He said that although the revenue collection was not equal to the target of last fiscal year, it was more than the previous fiscal year.

He said that the Revenue Office collected Rs 267.38 million from partnership income tax, Rs 1.275981 billion from individual income tax, Rs 1.11443 billion from excise income tax and Rs 1.1443 billion from value added tax under income tax in the last fiscal year. In the fiscal year 2080/81, it collected Rs 2.678475 billion against the target of Rs 3.8414 billion.
