KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index witnessed a double-digit improvement today. The benchmark index rose by 18.37 points to close at 2,619.99 points.
A total of 7,804,045 shares of 325 companies were traded through 55,078 transactions, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 3.29 billion (Rs 3,29,42,27,112). Except for the trading group, all sectoral sub-indices closed higher.
Shares of Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Narayani Development Bank Limited hit the positive circuit. Meanwhile, Shwetganga Hydropower and Construction Limited emerged as the top loser of the day.
In terms of both trading volume and value, Ngadi Group Power Limited led the market, with 494,184 shares traded worth Rs 198.24 million.
