Share market turns green as NEPSE rises 44 points

KATHMANDU: The stock market rebounded on Monday, the second trading day of the week, with the NEPSE index climbing 44.25 points to close at 2,547.60.

The Sensitive Index, which tracks (A) class companies, also rose 5.14 points to reach 444.54.

Today, 330 companies traded 9,83,836 transactions, with a total of 9,904,874 shares changing hands, amounting to a turnover of Rs 4.98 billion.

In today’s broadly positive market, share prices of 200 companies increased, 44 declined, and 8 remained unchanged.

All 13 sectoral indices recorded gains.

Among the top gainers, Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited led the list, followed by Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited and Crest MicroLife Insurance Company Limited.

All three companies hit the positive circuit, giving investors a 10% gain.

The biggest loser was Corporate Development Bank Limited, whose final share price settled at Rs 1,800 per share.

NRN Infrastructure Development Limited recorded the highest trading volume, with its final share price at Rs 1,898.80 and a total transaction value of Rs 310 million.
