KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank has released the official foreign exchange rates for Wednesday, showing a slight increase in the value of the US dollar and the Bahraini dinar, while other major foreign currencies like the Euro, Pound Sterling, and Australian Dollar have seen a decline.
As per today’s rates, the buying price of 1 US dollar is set at Rs 136.01, and the selling price at Rs 136.61.
This marks a small increase from Tuesday’s rate of Rs 135.91 (buying) and Rs 136.51 (selling). For context, the highest recorded exchange rate for the dollar in Nepal was on Magh 25, when it hit Rs 139.83 (buying) and Rs 140.43 (selling).
Similarly, the Euro today is being traded at Rs 156.23 (buying) and Rs 156.92 (selling), down from Tuesday’s Rs 156.70 and Rs 157.39, respectively.
The Pound Sterling also saw a slight dip, with today’s rates at Rs 181.91 (buying) and Rs 182.72 (selling), compared to Rs 181.93 and Rs 182.73 yesterday.
The Australian Dollar now stands at Rs 87.05 (buying) and Rs 87.43 (selling), a decrease from Tuesday’s Rs 87.27 and Rs 87.66.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti Dinar has risen slightly, with today’s buying rate at Rs 444.86 and selling rate at Rs 446.82, up from Rs 444.06 and Rs 446.02.
The Bahraini Dinar has also edged up, trading at Rs 360.89 (buying) and Rs 362.48 (selling), compared to Rs 360.57 and Rs 363.16 the previous day.
