Assistant Chief District Officer and spokesperson Muktiram Rijal stated that details of 169 injured persons were verified and categorized in two phases. The injuries were divided into four groups: 15 critically injured, 51 seriously injured, 36 moderately injured, and 67 with minor injuries. The classification took place on November 21 and 28.
Rijal explained that the team visited hospitals to assess those unable to move, while individuals who could not reach the administration office were transported by ambulance for evaluation.
The Classification Facilitation Committee, under the coordination of the Chief District Officer, conducted the categorization in accordance with the Procedure for Classification of Injured Persons during GenZ Demonstrations, 2025.
Once the classification is complete, the DAO will forward its recommendations to the Ministry of Health and Population, which will decide on and provide the necessary services and social security benefits for the injured.
