Police in Kirtipur arrested four persons involved in gambling offences from Dhalpa in Kirtipur Municipality-3. They were nabbed from John Lama’s residence.

One of the arrested has been identified as Dipak Kumar Maharjan (56), a local resident of Dhalpa in Kirtipur while the name of the other three has not been disclosed.

Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Kirtipur-based Metropolitan Police Circle arrested them. The police also seized Rs 72,000 and three decks of cards from their possession.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said the police.
