Gen Z protest: Four more die at Trauma Centre; death toll reaches six

KATHMANDU: Four protesters injured during the Gen Z movement have died while receiving treatment at the National Trauma Centre, bringing the total death toll to six.

Badri Sharma, Director of the National Trauma Centre, confirmed the deaths of the four injured protesters during treatment.

Earlier, one protester shot by police during demonstrations succumbed to injuries at Civil Hospital.

Another protester also died after being shot by police amid the protests.

Narayan Dahal, Chief of Hospital Administration at Kathmandu Medical College in Sinamangal, said one protester brought to the hospital died during treatment.

“Three other protesters injured by gunfire have been admitted to our hospital,” he added.

Officials report that more than thirty injured protesters have been admitted to various hospitals across the city.

With the latest deaths, the total number of fatalities in the ongoing Gen Z protests has now reached six.
