KATHMANDU: Temperatures across Nepal continue to drop, with Kathmandu recording its lowest minimum temperature of the year at 4.9°C on Tuesday.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, this marks a significant decline from the 6.8°C recorded just a day prior.
While the Himalayan regions remain clear, thick fog has blanketed the Terai, leading to school closures in several districts.
The lack of active western winds and rainfall has intensified the fog.
Currently, Jumla remains the coldest location in the country, with temperatures hitting minus 3°C, while fluctuations in weather patterns persist across the valley and hilly regions.
