Man wanted on banking offences apprehended

The police have apprehended a man who was wanted on the charge of banking offences from Lalitpur. The arrested has been identified as HiraMaharjan of Thecho in Godawari Municipality-12, Lalitpur. Maharjan was wanted on a banking offence charge worth Rs 11.50 million.

The Lalitpur District Court had earlier slapped a fine of over Rs 11.50 million on Maharjan along with a three-year prison sentence.

Maharjan, who had been absconding since the verdict of the district court, was nabbed by a police team from the Metropolitan Police Circle in Chapagaun, which was led by Inspector RajendraThapa.
