KATHMANDU: The planned protest by the ‘NTAKE-Z’ group at MaitiGhar on Thursday has been postponed.

The group had applied to the Kathmandu District Administration Office to hold the demonstration starting at 10 a.m., but the decision to cancel was announced on Wednesday.

In an evening notice, the administration warned that any attempts to organize a protest under the same name or by any unofficial group could constitute illegal activity and urged the public to exercise caution.

The announcement comes amid concerns over potential repetition of violence, arson, and vandalism that occurred during the Gen-Z movement on September 08–09. Authorities appealed to demonstrators, activists, political groups, and civil society to cooperate in maintaining peace and security.

The administration also requested that anyone with information regarding undesirable activities contact the nearest security authority or dial the police hotline at 100.
