Veteran singer Yogesh Baidya passed away at the age of 77. He was born in 2003 B.S on Nag Panchami in Naradevi, Kathmandu.

Involved in stage singing since childhood, he recorded the first Newari language song in Radio Nepal and later recorded hundreds of songs. Many of his songs are popular. His literary books are also published. He was serving as Technical Joint Secretary of the Government of Nepal and was retired.
