GANDAKI: Out of the 773 prisoners who left the Prison Office in Kaski during the Gen-Z demonstrations on September 8–9, a total of 348 have returned.
According to the Prison Office, 425 prisoners are still out of contact.
Among those who returned, some came back voluntarily, while others were apprehended and brought back, said Hari Bahadur Basnet, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Kaski, and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
Efforts are ongoing to locate and bring back the remaining detainees. The police have appealed to the public to report to the authorities if they spot any of the people seemingly inmates in their communities or nearby areas.
