KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has extended the detention of Kumar Thapa Magar, popularly known as “Nepali Bro,” by five days in connection with the murder case of Ishwori Bhujel.
The extension was granted by the bench of Judge Pitambar Sharma to allow further investigation into the case.
Thapa was arrested on 23 Jestha (Nepali calendar) on charges of murdering his wife, Ishwori Bhujel.
On Wednesday, he was presented before the Kathmandu District Court for a hearing on the extension of his judicial custody, after which the court approved a five-day extension for continued investigation.
