KATHMANDU: In a surprising breach of security, a detainee managed to escape from the gate of the District Police Range, Bhadrakali in Kathmandu.

The fugitive, Nishan Pariyar, aged 24, had been brought in from the Swoyambhu Police Circle for case proceedings when he fled the premises.

According to police officials, Pariyar was in custody on charges related to indecent and unruly behavior. Despite launching a search operation immediately after the incident, the police have yet to locate or re-arrest him.
