KATHMANDU: The High-Level Probe Commission has recorded a statement from Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane regarding the incidents of September 8 and 9.

Lamichhane was brought on Wednesday from Nakkhu Prison to the commission’s office in Singha Durbar for questioning.

The commission inquired about the circumstances that required him to leave the prison during the Gen Z protests.

Lamichhane, who was in prison for the embezzlement case involving cooperative funds, had left Nakkhu Prison on September 9 citing security concerns during the protests.

However, he has maintained that the prison administration itself issued a letter allowing him to return home.

Earlier, the commission had also recorded a statement from Nakkhu Prison Chief Satyaraj Joshi.
