KATHMANDU: CPN (UML) leader Mahesh Basnet has given a statement to the Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police in connection with a cybercrime case.

Basnet appeared at the bureau on Wednesday morning to record his statement.

Basnet’s statement was taken based on a letter sent by a woman through the postal service.

A few days ago, the Kathmandu District Attorney’s Office had instructed the police to investigate Basnet in the case.
