BIRATNAGAR: Authorities in Biratnagar have seized Rs 1.45 million of unknown origin and arrested one person in connection with the case.

The money was being brought into Nepal from India and was confiscated by police on Tuesday.

According to Morang police, a large sum of money was recovered from Biratnagar Metropolitan City-17.

The police had stopped a motorcycle which was suspected of entering Nepal from India illegally.

Upon inspection, they found the concealed amount with 41-year-old Birendra Sah from Biratnagar-18, who was operating the motorcycle.
