KATHMANDU: Nepal Police on Tuesday raided a house in the Gongabu area of Kathmandu, recovering a large sum of cash suspected to be illegally stored.

The operation followed a tip-off about the hidden money. Authorities said approximately Rs 40 million was seized during the raid.

During the operation, Binod Shrestha, a resident of Gorkha, was arrested. Investigations into the seized cash and related assets, including gold, are ongoing.

Police emphasized that the operation was conducted based on credible intelligence, and further actions may follow as the investigation continues.
