WASHINGTON D.C: The Embassy of Nepal in Washington, D.C. has conducted a mobile consular camp in Columbus, Ohio, aimed at providing various services to the Nepali community.

Held on Tuesday and Wednesday, the camp served approximately 400 individuals, according to the embassy.

The camp was organized in coordination with Dr. Damodar Paudel, the Honorary Consul General for Ohio, and with support from the local chapter of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).

Dr. Paudel remarked that the camp was especially helpful for Nepalis in the area, as traveling to Washington, D.C. for passport renewal and other services can be costly and time-consuming.

The embassy team, led by Economic Counselor Yugraj Pandey and supported by technical staff, provided services directly on-site.

A similar mobile camp was also conducted last Sunday and Monday in the state of Kentucky.

In recent years, the embassy has been regularly organizing such outreach programs in states with growing Nepali populations, which has been well-received by the community.
