DUBAI: A 29-year-old Nepali national, Diwas Shrestha of Gorkha, was killed in a drone-related incident in Abu Dhabi, according to the Embassy of Nepal.

The embassy said Shrestha, employed as a security guard by a Middle East company at the airport, lost his life while attempting to neutralize a drone.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates has been formally notified of his death, the embassy stated.

Expressing deep sorrow, the embassy extended condolences over the loss of Shrestha, who had been working in the UAE capital.
