KATHMANDU: A delegation of the Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA) has demanded the government that it guaranteed voting rights, investment protection and policy arrangements for the transfer of knowledge and skills by NRN people in the fields of education, health, technology, and tourism in Nepal.

The NRNA delegation led by Chairperson Dr Badri KC made such demands while meeting Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel at the latter’s office, Singha Durbar, on Friday.

The NRNA further reminded the government on social security in place for workers leaving country for foreign employment. The non-resident Nepalis are confident that the interim government formed after the Gen-Z protests will be successful. They are always ready to cooperate with this government to pave way for the prosperity in Nepal, KC said.

The NRNA Adviser TB Karki, former ICC member Santosh Bhattarai, former Chairman of the National Coordination Council, Deepak Oli, and Executive Officer Rajendra Kumar Raut were also present in the meeting.
