British Ambassador Fenn pays courtesy call on PM Karki

KATHMANDU: A delegation led by Rob Fenn, the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Nepal, paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting at the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers’ office today involved an exchange of views on matters of bilateral interest.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Karki emphasized that in the country’s current extraordinary circumstances, the government’s main priorities and responsibilities are good governance and the conduct of elections.

She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to holding elections on schedule in a free, fair, and secure environment.

The discussions also highlighted the historically cordial relations between Nepal and the United Kingdom and explored ways to further deepen the ties in the future.

On the occasion, Ambassador Fenn extended his best wishes for Prime Minister Karki’s successful tenure and stated that the UK government is ready to provide necessary support to ensure the smooth conduct of elections.
