KATHMANDU: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song met Prime Minister Sushila Karki today and extended warm congratulations on her appointment.

In a social media post on X, Ambassador Chen said it was a “great pleasure” to call on the Prime Minister.

He conveyed Beijing’s support and commitment to further strengthen bilateral friendship and cooperation.

The envoy wrote that both sides exchanged views and agreed to promote mutual understanding and collaboration across various sectors.

Prime Minister Karki, Nepal’s first woman prime minister, assumed office earlier this week.
