KATHMANDU: Health and Population Minister Dr. Sudha Sharma Gautam held a courtesy meeting with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Nepal, Udo Eugen Völz.

According to the Ministry, the meeting, held on Thursday at the Ministry, focused on strengthening and making bilateral partnerships in the health sector more sustainable and effective.

Discussions covered enhancing the health insurance system, improving the quality production of generic medicines, promoting gender equality and social inclusion in the health sector, and advancing health insurance claim management through digital technology and artificial intelligence.

The meeting also addressed cooperation in the development of health infrastructure. Minister Sharma expressed sincere gratitude to the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany for its continued support to Nepal’s health sector.
