Indian PM Modi expresses deep concern over violence in Nepal

NEW DELHI: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep concern over the ongoing violence in Nepal, calling the loss of young lives “heart-wrenching.”

In a post following a meeting of India’s Cabinet Committee on Security, PM Modi said that the developments in Nepal were discussed in detail.

He stressed that Nepal’s stability, peace, and prosperity are of utmost importance.

“The violence in Nepal is heartbreaking. I am deeply disturbed by the fact that so many young people have lost their lives,” Modi wrote.

Reaching out directly to the Nepali people, the Indian Prime Minister made a heartfelt appeal, “I humbly urge all my brothers and sisters in Nepal to maintain peace and order.”

The statement comes amid escalating unrest in Nepal, where protests have turned violent in recent days, raising regional concerns.
