KATHMANDU: Various cultural programmes have been organized at Chongqing municipality in Yuzhong district of China to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Nepal-China diplomatic ties.
According to Nepali Consulate General at Chengdu, an exhibition of niche Nepali products such as tea, coffee, incense candle, singing bowl, Thangka painting and goods made from felt and Pashmina among others were showcased during the programme.
As a segment under the cultural exchange between China and Nepal, the Chinese artistes played traditional Chinese musical instrument ‘Guqin’ while Nepali students performed traditional dances, said the Nepali Consulate in Chengdu.
Altogether 50 participants including representatives of the Yuzhong district government, Chongqing municipality and Nepal Tourism Board, among others attended the celebratory programme organized in coordination of the Nepali Consulate General.
