KATHMANDU: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel has said that Nepal was always committed to the one-China policy, adding that Nepal and China have enjoyed a friendly relationship for long.

Addressing the Fourth China-Nepal Media Summit here today, Minister Kharel appreciated the continued support from the government of China for Nepal’s development and goodwill.

He stated that China has extended remarkable assistance for Nepal’s infrastructure development. “China is Nepal’s friendly neighbour for long. China has made contributions to Nepal’s infrastructure development, economic development, health care, tourism, culture and development and promotion of cultural heritages,” Minister Kharel acknowledged Chinese assistance.

Organized by South Asia Television Network and Nepal China Media Forum, the Summit was focused on the issues of collaboration and cooperation between Nepalis and Chinese media fraternity.
