KATHMANDU: A delegation comprising two officers and 16 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from Nepal, led by Major General Yam Prasad Dhakal, Director General of the NCC of the Nepali Army, visited India from January 15 to 30, 2026.
During the visit, the delegation paid tributes at the National War Memorial and India Gate, and toured several cultural and historical heritage sites across the country. The Nepali cadets also witnessed India’s Republic Day Parade, one of the country’s most significant national events.
As part of the official program, the Nepali delegation—along with youth delegations from other countries—called on the President of India, the Prime Minister, the Defense Minister, and the Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports. According to officials, the interactions focused on youth exchange, military-to-military engagement, and people-to-people ties.
Authorities said the visit contributed to strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between Nepal and India, particularly through defense cooperation and youth-level exchanges.
