Norwegian envoys pay courtesy call on PM Sushila Karki, reaffirming support for democracy

KATHMANDU: Norwegian Ambassador Dagny Mjøs and Deputy Head of Mission Kristine Storholt paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Tuesday, discussing the longstanding bilateral relations between Nepal and Norway.

During the meeting, the Norwegian Embassy reaffirmed its support for Nepal’s democratic process, rule of law, inclusive governance, and gender equality.

Ambassador Mjøs also reiterated Norway’s commitment to supporting free and fair elections in Nepal.

The talks underscored continued cooperation and mutual trust between the two countries, with a shared focus on democratic values and institutional strengthening.
