KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has stated that the recent Gen Z movement presented significant challenges and stressed that the government must now be fully dedicated to meeting the legitimate aspirations of the people.
She made the remarks during a meeting with diplomatic mission officials and ambassadors at Singha Durbar on Friday.
“There is no place for inaction anymore; we must recommit ourselves to fulfilling the people’s legitimate aspirations,” Prime Minister Karki said.
“The movement has served as a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility—to listen, respond, improve, and deliver,” she said.
She also highlighted that the protests reflected the public’s deep desire for good governance, economic opportunities, and integrity in public life, signaling the government’s need for transparency and action.
