KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki will hold a virtual meeting with Nepali ambassadors and mission chiefs from 44 countries this afternoon at 4 p.m.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussion will center on Nepal’s current political and economic situation, as well as key aspects of international relations.

An official at the ministry said the prime minister will issue instructions to the envoys after reviewing their reports and recommendations.

The meeting comes in the aftermath of the “Gen Z Movement,” which led several countries to restrict visit visas for Nepali citizens.

Prime Minister Karki is also expected to be briefed on the decline in tourism and foreign investment, and to offer guidance on measures to address these challenges.

Karki, who assumed office on September 13 following the Gen Z Movement, leads a government mandated to conduct parliamentary elections on March 5, 2026.
