TIANJIN: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is in Tianjin, China, for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the summit. .

Oli is in China to attend the 25th SCO Summit and related events.

During his stay, he has also met Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu.

On Sunday evening, he attended a reception hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping in Tianjin, where he exchanged greetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders.

Earlier, the prime minister visited a rice-core planting area in China.

Oli’s visit, which began on August 30 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi, will continue until September 3.
