KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel is addressing the main session of the Second World Summit for Social Developmenttoday.

According to Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, President Paudel, who arrived in Qatar on Monday, is scheduled to deliver his address at the summit being held in Doha.

The conference, which begins on Tuesday, will continue until Thursday. President Paudel is leading a 12-member Nepali delegation to Qatar at the invitation of the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The summit, being organized in accordance with a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, is expected to be highly significant for all member states.

Following his address, President Paudel is scheduled to hold meetings with several dignitaries, including the Emir of Qatar and United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.
