KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmakers Hari Dhakal and Sobita Gautam held an informal meeting with former Vice President of India, Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu, during their visit to Bengaluru, Karnataka, where they were attending a program organized by the Non-Resident Nepali Contact Forum.
In the brief exchange, they discussed the condition and concerns of Nepali migrants living in India, the broader dimensions of Nepal–India relations, and the importance of long-term, structured coordination between the two countries.
The RSP delegation also shared their party’s core vision, political goals, and reform agenda.
While the meeting was entirely informal, both Dhakal and Gautam expressed their gratitude for Naidu’s warmth, wisdom, and perspectives.
They emphasized that such engagements contribute to deepening regional cooperation, mutual understanding, and strengthening people-to-people relations.
Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu served as the vice president of India from 2017 to 2022.
