KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed deep concern over the devastating floods in Uttarakhand, India, which have caused significant loss of lives and property.
Reports indicate that more than 17 Nepali citizens have been missing.
In a message posted on Facebook, the Prime Minister said that immediate diplomatic discussions were held through the Nepali Embassy to facilitate the rescue of the affected Nepalis.
He offered condolences to all those who lost their lives in the floods and landslides, and extended prayers for strength to the bereaved families.
Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to return to Nepal today after attending the third LLDC Summit in Turkmenistan.
