KATHMANDU: Actor Nischal Basnet has denied allegations that he threw stones and set fire to buildings during the Gen Z movement.

Writing on social media platform Facebook on Wednesday, Basnet claimed that false propaganda was being spread against him.

“If anyone can prove that I threw stones or committed arson anywhere, I am ready to face any punishment. If you look for evidence, it will be clear whether I was throwing stones or stopping others from doing so. Therefore, I request an investigation against me,” he wrote.

Admitting that he did participate in the protest and raised his voice against corruption, Basnet said, “Yes, I joined the movement. I protested against corruption. Brothers and sisters came to take photos and videos with me.”
