KATHMANDU: Advance ticket booking for the upcoming Nepali film Jhilko is set to release this Friday. While the production team has confirmed the start of bookings, details on the number of shows booked have not been disclosed.
Jhilko has a powerful tale of the ill effects of too much digital technology use on the lives of children, family relationships, and society as a whole.
The actors of this movie are Sunil Pokharel, Barsha Siwakoti, Bishal Pokharel, Bhola Raj Sapkota, Janvi Basnet, Jenish Shrestha, and Jebish Shrestha.
Directed by Yadav Kumar Bhattarai best known for his acclaimed film Jhola, Jhilko emphasizes the importance of coordination between children, parents, teachers, and policymakers. Bhattarai said he chose this story to reflect that need.
Produced under the banner of Media for Culture Pvt. Ltd., the film features cinematography by Deepak Bajracharya and editing by Nimesh Shrestha. The story and screenplay were co-written by Bhattarai, Arun Dev Joshi, and Dev Brat.
Umesh Paudel is the executive producer, with Sushila Acharya, Ramgopal Thapa, and Kiran Kumar Acharya as producers.
