KATHMANDU: Singer and stage performer Durgesh Thapa departed for the United States on Tuesday evening from Tribhuvan International Airport to begin a musical tour.

He will participate in programs across eleven different cities in America.

The tour schedule is set to run for over a month. Thapa’s first program begins this coming October 17 in Austin, Texas, and will conclude on November 22 in Dallas, Texas.

Organizers confirmed that between those dates, he is scheduled to perform on eleven stages in cities including New York, Baltimore, Columbus, and Colorado.

This inaugural US tour for Durgesh is organized by RnR Groups LLC, Pandey Homes LLC, and AKB Company LLC, with the nonprofit organization Peace and Beauty serving as a partner.

Given that this marks Durgesh’s first time performing in the U.S., organizers anticipate a significant turnout of audience members.

Roshan Puri, one of the organizers, expressed his pleasure at being able to present Durgesh to the Nepali community residing in the U.S.

Singer Melina Rai is also slated to perform at the same events.
