KATHMANDU: Ganga Sonam from Sindhupalchok has been crowned the winner of the sixth season of the popular singing reality show Nepal Idol. She claimed the title during the grand finale held in Kathmandu on Sunday night, outperforming four other finalists.

As the winner, Sonam received a cash prize of NPR 25 lakh. Babita Thapamagar was announced as the first runner-up and won Rs 10 lakh, while Darshana Gandhari secured the second runner-up position with a prize of Rs 5 lakh.

Similarly, Abhiyan Khati and Mrinal Manandhar placed fourth and fifth respectively, each receiving Rs 1 lakh.

The finale witnessed tough competition among the top five finalists—Ganga Sonam, Babita Thapamagar, Darshana Gandhari, Abhiyan Khati, and Mrinal Manandhar. Based on their performances and audience votes, Ganga Sonam emerged as the ultimate winner of Nepal Idol Season 6.
