KATHMANDU: The promotional campaign for the highly-anticipated Nepali film Harsha has officially begun, with the release of its first two official posters.
The family-centric drama, which features a compelling cast led by actor Khagendra Lamichhane and leading actress Barsha Raut, is set to hit cinemas on November 28, 2025.
The film’s newly released posters hint at a blend of family drama and music, with the cast’s expressions teasing potential plotlines.
While actors Khagendra Lamichhane and Barsha Raut appear happy in one poster, Santosh Panta’s unhappy expression suggests conflict.
Another poster shows a vibrant dance scene with several cast members, contrasted by the serious demeanor of veteran actor Neer Shah.
The film is the directorial debut of Ekata Poudel, a filmmaker who studied at the New York Film Academy.
Paudel’s entry into the industry is particularly significant as she is the niece of the late director Shiva Regmi, a renowned name in Nepali cinema.
The project is seen as a tribute to her uncle’s legacy. The film’s story was also written by Paudel herself.
Beyond the main cast, the film features performances from other talented actors, including Nima Pandey and Sristi Maharjan.
The production team includes cinematographer Alok Shukla, editor Lokesh Bajracharya, and choreographers Sunil Chhetri and Ekata Paudel. Harsha is produced by Prasanna Paudel and Bikash Paudel, with Hikmat Chokhal as the executive producer.
