SEOUL: K-pop female group NewJeans faces fresh uncertainty after its agency, Ador, ended the contract of member Danielle Marsh, effectively ruling out a full-group comeback.

The move comes after a year-long dispute that began in 2024, when the group sought to leave Ador over alleged mistreatment.

A court later ordered the members to remain under contract until 2029.

Although all five had agreed to return, Ador said on Monday it had terminated Marsh’s contract and plans legal action against former CEO Min Hee-jin and a family member.

Fans reacted angrily online, while Marsh has not commented.
