A war of words is going on social media between Bollywood fans and Korean pop fans. Bollywood fans have claimed that actress Alia Bhatt’s character in ‘Blackpink’ singer Jennie Kim’s upcoming song is similar to Rani’s theme song of movie ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. The audience started a controversy after finding similarities between Alia’s introduction song and K-pop star Jennie’s new track, which is included in the film released in 2023. Pritam has composed the music for the Bollywood film. Netizens believe that the film’s composer has been victimized in this case. In a group on the social networking site ‘Reddit’, a group of users have questioned whether the ‘Rani’ theme song is original or has it been copied from somewhere.

Social media is now full of comparisons between both songs. There is a heated debate on social media between fans of both. One social media user wrote, “I never thought I would see Alia and Jenny here.” Another wrote, “Girl Jenny’s new song reminds me of the intro song from Rani’s (Alia Bhatt) Rocky and Rani Ki Prem Kahani! How do my Indian people perceive this?” Alia’s fans are claiming that the song was copied. On the other hand, K-pop fans want to take revenge on Alia for this. One commenter commented as ‘Both fans are idiots,’, ‘Even if they copy, what’s the point of discussing it, Indian films copy a lot from foreign films, no one needs to question it?’ Pritam has not yet responded to the controversy. Meanwhile, Korean pop singer Jennie is all set to release her much-awaited solo album. The album is said to be out on March 7.
