KATHMANDU: Renowned Indian actress and dancer Nora Fatehi is set to perform live in Kathmandu alongside several popular Nepali artists in the much-anticipated event “Nora Fatehi Live in Nepal”, taking place on May 17 (Jestha 3). The concert, organized at the open grounds of Hyatt in Boudha, aims to support Human Respect Nepal, a social organization working for the education of underprivileged children.
At a press conference held in Kathmandu, Dev Magar, chairman of Worldwide Films Network Pvt. Ltd., stated that the event was designed to support a noble cause through entertainment. “We observed significant public demand for Nora Fatehi in Nepal, and upon our request, she graciously agreed to perform. Alongside her, top Nepali artists will also take the stage and showcase their talents with pride,” he said.
The performance lineup includes singer Durgesh Thapa, dancer Teriya Phouja Magar, choreographer Samarpan Lama, and top finalists of The Voice of Nepal Season 6 — winner Proshesh Pandey, along with Indrakala Rai, Roshan Rai, Arpana Acharya, and Pramesh Rai, as announced by event manager Manish Karki.
Representing the performers, Teriya Phouja Magar expressed her excitement and readiness. “Nora Fatehi is a global sensation, and sharing the stage with her is an honor. Events like this not only promote Nepal’s cultural scene but also contribute to tourism and international recognition,” she said.
Over 20 professional dancers from Mumbai, including Nora herself, are expected to arrive in Nepal for the event.
In an audiovisual message, Nora Fatehi shared her enthusiasm about visiting Nepal for the first time and expressed gratitude for the love she has received. “I’m thrilled to visit Kathmandu. This will be my first trip to Nepal, and I encourage everyone to support this meaningful event,” she said.
The event is being managed by Manu Media Pvt. Ltd. Ticket prices are set at NPR 2,000, 4,000, 7,000, and 16,000, and can be purchased online. The organizers are also planning a special performance where Nora Fatehi and Durgesh Thapa will share the stage for the hit Nepali song “Dushman Hereko Heryai”. Nora’s international chart-topping numbers — “Dilbar”, “Kusu”, “O Saki”, “Naach Meri Rani”, and “Snake Dance” — have also gained massive popularity in Nepal, adding further excitement to the upcoming show.
