KATHMANDU: The shooting of director Saroj Poudel’s new movie ‘Koshedhunga’ has been completed. Director Poudel, famous for the all-time blockbuster movie ‘Purna Bahadur’s Sarangi’, completed the shooting in 51 days on Monday.

The shooting of the movie was completed in 51 days, with the songs being shot in Chitlang, Markhu and other areas of Makawanpur. Before that, the shooting of Koshedhunga, which had begun with a set in Chyasal, Lalitpur, was shot in the Adhikhola, Triveni and Siruwari areas of Syangja in Gandaki Province.

The production team has already announced the release date. The movie ‘Koshedhunga’ is releasing on Bhadra 12. It is going to be released simultaneously in more than 40 countries including Nepal.

‘Koshedhunga’ is being distributed internationally by Patrick Subedi and Ramesh Dhakal’s Seven Seas International. The film will be released in 40 countries simultaneously, for the first time in the history of Nepali cinema in the diaspora.

The production team hopes that ‘Koshedhunga’ will take Nepali cinema to a new level internationally, as it is the first time a film is being screened simultaneously in so many countries.

The movie ‘Koshedhunga’ has become a highly anticipated movie as it will be directed by the director of ‘Purna Bahadur’s Sarangi’. ‘Purna Bahadur’s Sarangi’ directed by Saroj had grossed more than 475 million in Nepal alone. Therefore, many are curious about how this movie directed by him will be.

The production team of the movie ‘Koshedhunga’, which has raised both curiosity and expectations among the audience since its production announcement, released a first look poster featuring the film’s lead actor Suraksha Pant during the filming process.

“The shooting has been done as we expected. It is going better than we expected. Looking at the work done so far, we are confident that the output will be good,” he said. “The online editing of the film is being done on the set, in which we can tell from the set that the audience will have something special to see when they see the hard work of all the actors and technicians.”

Executive producer Dinesh Khadka said that ‘Koshedhunga’ will fulfill the expectations of the audience. He said that he will make a film that the audience will like like ‘Purna Bahadur’s Sarangi’.

He says he is confident that the audience will not be disappointed with the film’s story and the hard work put into its cinematography.

The movie ‘Koshedhunga’, presented by Nardevi Films, features actresses Suraksha Pant, Aryan Sikdel, Richa Sharma, Manzil Kumar, Niti Shah, Praveen Khatiwada, Hiuwala Gautam, Saroj Khanal, Vishal Pahadi, Dinesh Kafle, Lokmani Sapkota, and others.

The film is produced by Previl Kandel and Kishore Anurag. The executive producer is Dinesh Khadka. The film, which is being shot by Babu Shrestha, has editing by Nahakul Khadka, music by Ashish Abiral and Rhythm Kandel. The casting director of this film is Suwalmani Sapkota.
