KATHMANDU: Popular Nepali singers Eleena Chauhan and Samikshya Adhikari met with Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak today to seek his assistance in advancing legal action against ongoing online abuse and character assassination they have faced on social media.
Eleena shared a photo from the meeting on Facebook, thanking the minister for his assurance of support. She wrote, “Special thanks to Honorable Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak for providing the necessary help in a step taken to protect the right to one’s existence.”
Eleena further expressed her gratitude for the love and encouragement from supporters, stating that it is her strength. However, she also noted that while not everyone can be expected to think positively, personal attacks, verbal abuse, and character assassination have become intolerable, forcing her to take legal steps.
