Starry Premiere of Nepali Film Khel Held Ahead of Friday Release

KATHMANDU: The film Khel, set to release this Friday, was premiered on Wednesday evening at QFX Chhaya Center. The initial screening witnessed a large turnout of celebrities, making the event truly star-studded.

Some of the attendees at the event were Surakshya Panta, Hena Nagarkoti, Monika Thapa, Nikita Acharya, and Samapika Gautam. Anurag Pradhan and Aastha Shrestha, the co-directors of the film, were also present to share their excitement and views regarding the film. Director Anurag Pradhan revealed that he applied the experience of his Bollywood work on Khel to offer a new type of cinema to Nepali audiences.

Actress Surakshya Panta praised the energy and dedication of the young cast and crew, declaring strong belief in the film’s success. She further stated that she was satisfied with the encouraging initial response. Khel derives its roots in folklore traditions and has been appreciated for its storytelling along with technical merit. Surakshya’s acting, along with several up-and-coming performers, has received special commendation from opening audiences.

The film also features veteran actors like Mithila Sharma, Bhola Raj Sapkota, Sarita Giri, and Kiran Shrestha. Directed by Sirupate Cuts Pvt. Ltd., Khel is already generating a lot of buzz before its official release.
