According to the popular website Deadline, approximately one billion US dollars were spent to create the eight episodes of this series. The production itself cost around 465 million dollars. It cost around 480 crore Nepali rupees per episode to make.

The series is now officially the most expensive web series in the world. It is a television series adapted from J.R.R. Tolkien’s book The Lord of the Rings.
