KATHMANDU: The OST song ‘Zindagi: Udi Jaane Ho Kahan’ of the upcoming Nepali movie ‘Real Ringette’, which will be released on Shravan 16, was released on Tuesday during a special program at INI Cinema, Naya Baneshwor, Kathmandu.
The song of this movie, produced by Rebel Films, captures the poignant story of Nepalis forced to migrate for foreign employment.
Composed by Ravi Malla and Koshis Chhetri, the song features Ketan Chhetri’s melodious voice and is arranged by Kiran Tuladhar. The song deeply portrays the struggles faced by Nepalis abroad, the distressing situation of their families, and the pain of being forced to leave the country.
Poet Nathan Ryan recited his poem at the event, which expressed the poignant feelings of Nepalis forced to migrate as menial laborers. Poet Ryan’s words powerfully portray the overall essence of the film through the tagline “When the plane took off from Tribhuvan Airport, dreams and life took off with the plane.” Singer Ketan Chhetri mesmerized everyone present by singing the song live.
The film’s director, Vibhor Pokharel, said that ‘Real Ringette’ is the story of every Nepali and expressed confidence that the film will be successful in touching the hearts of the general audience. Producer Gaganlal Pradhan said that he invested in it because the issue of foreign employment had to be raised. Pradhan, who has been running Rebel Creation for more than two decades, had previously produced the video film ‘Abhilasha’ in 2039 BS. In addition, Pradhan has established dozens of singers, directors and artists through Rebel Creation.
Actress Nita Dhungana expressed happiness that the film is nearing its release after a long period of hard work, while actor Pramod Chaulagain said that he acted in this film only after much thought.
Directed by Vibhor Pokharel, the film stars Pramod Chaulagain, Nita Dhungana, Chulthim Dolma Gurung, Rabindra Khadka, Dhruv Koirala, Prem Subba, Ramchandra Adhikari, Rear Rai, Roshan Shrestha, Ishwori Baral, Bimala Giri and others. The film is written by Pradeep Bhardwaj.
The name of the film ‘Riyal Ringgit’ is a combination of the currency of Qatar and Saudi Arabia ‘Riyal’ and the currency of Malaysia ‘Ringgit’, which refers to the main destination countries of Nepali workers. The action direction is by Roshan Shrestha, cinematography by Hari Ghale, editing by Bipin Malla, background score by Kiran Tuladhar and choreography by Rajiv Samar.
The songs feature music by Ramchandra Kafle, Kiran Tuladhar and Chandan Dhwaj KC and vocals by Sugam Pokharel, Ketan Chhetri, Ramchandra Kafle and Junu Rijal Kafle. The lyrics of the song have been written by Amar Neupane, Ravi Malla, Kosis Chhetri, Pradeep Bhardwaj and Chandan Dhwaj KC.
The film, shot in Rajasthan, India, and Chitwan, Kathmandu, and Letang, Nepal, is being distributed by Kaafia Films.
In the middle of the program, the film unit made a sad announcement. It was informed that the film’s actress Anisha Sada was found dead on the set of a local film, and a minute’s silence was observed at the program to pay heartfelt tribute to Sada.
